Apple Sells A Record 4 Million iPhone 6 & 6 Plus’ On Release Day

By September 29, 2014Apple, Hardware, iPhone

If you’re stuck wondering why you had such a terrible time whilst trying to pre-order your iPhone 6 or 6 Plus, we may just have the answer you’ve been looking for.

Apple’s website was hit with a massive load of traffic, equivalent to that of a DDoS attack and the figures show that up to 6 million UNIQUE visitors¬†were constantly refreshing the page in the hope that they would be able to purchase one of the latest additions to the iPhone family. Apple had already told the public that they anticipated to and actually had sold more devices than ever before and are now claiming that in the first 24 hours of it’s release they sold over 4 million.

To put that in perspective; If Apple were to sell ONE iPhone per second, it would’ve taken them 48 days to sell 4 million iPhone’s. That therefore means that Apple were selling 46.2962962963 iPhone’s per second.

The last time Apple accepted preorders was in 2012 when the iPhone 5 accumulated 2 million. Apple sure has grown in the last two years. We’re here asking ourselves…..Why? Can anyone actually spot anything innovative and (this bit’s important) pioneering that Apple have actually done in that time period?

Hey there! Quick question that’s completely off topic.
Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My blog looks weird when browsing from my iphone.
I’m trying to find a template or plugin that might be able to fix this issue.

If you have any suggestions, please share. Thanks!

I’ve been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all web owners and bloggers made
good content as you did, the web will be a
lot more useful than ever before.
